When the cat's away...

So here I am at the end of day 2 of Matt being out of town.  Today we really tried to live it up- in toddler terms that is.  We did a lot of stuff we wouldn't do on a daily basis. We threw a huge beach ball IN the house- all around - letting it smack into electronics.... paintings on the wall.... in each others faces...  at  Victoria...  you know- pretty much all the things that would usually be forbidden.   And today one trip to the park simply would not do- so.... we took 2.   And just to make sure we partied hard- we had ice cream for dinner.  It pretty much ruled.  Here is to a hefty hangover tomorrow though :)

Flying Solo

This week Matt is out of town on business.  So, it just me and the little ladies holding down the fort. Saturday we celebrated Matt's 30th birthday!  His parents came  up from Portland to help celebrate and watch the girls for a few hours on Saturday so we could get a little time alone.  Apparently Matt and I need to work on date ideas.  After leaving the house - neither of us had any idea on what to do or where to do- so we ended up hitting 2 pawn shops down the road- in the ghetto- Starbucks - and then the grocery store.  SeRiOuSlY?!  WHO ARE WE?

Creating a Habit...

Okay,  so this is sort of like the gym for me....  it's like I want to do it- but I am like- uh I will do it tomorrow.  So, just like all my "good habits"- this is one I will have to create.  Let me see if I can just blog for 7 days in a row and see if it sticks.

Matt's birthday is tomorrow.  He is finally going to be 30.  It took him a couple years to get there after me... but I always seem to be a few steps ahead.  :)  Happy Birthday, Matt!

No time like the present...

So after many years of admiring people who blog and always telling myself- one day I will do that- I decided today is as good as any to start.  Life will only ever get crazier.  There are so many little things I enjoy day in and day out - that I don't want to forget... something sweet that one of my girls said or did - or maybe it was an awesome painting I came across... whatever it is I want a great way to remember the finer things in life~
